I am becoming curious about Reiki. I am wondering if aspects of the work you do is similar or related to Reiki?

Hiya,
Rei - ki means soul energy. Everything I do is related to it! However the healing modality called Reiki is a system to align a person's chakras so that they can transmit soul energy more easily than if they were not aligned. My first formal healing education was in Reiki and I found it changed my whole life.

Reiki practitioners usually use this soul energy without any conscious work- i.e., you lie there, they do it, you get up, and something has happened! I can tell you some fun stories of my days doing that work. But I found it a bit vague in the long run because there was no conscious directing of the energy on the part of the healee - all done through the higher self. Of course, this means that the energy is used for the highest good, but not necessarily for the immediate issue that is worrisome. In the SM process, you continue to use unconscious soul energy, but you also use it to make conscious adjustments in how you think and feel around your goals for life, particularly with the idea of releasing limitations. It links unconscious to conscious intention more tightly.
